Save on toilet roll (Women only) save £70 a year with wipes

Options
I got so annoyed by not being able to buy recycled toilet paper in paper (not plastic) wrapping, that I made my own from old brushed cotton sheets.
I'm using 20cm squares for wee ONLY and just adding them to the normal wash.  I am buying toilet paper so seldom now and I worked out that it's saving me about £70 a year.
It started as an experiment but has worked so well!
You need a small container next to the loo to put the used ones in (no, they don't smell).
I fold them in neat squares and stack on top of the loo.
Also excellent for camper vans as it saves your toilet cassette filling up as quickly, thus also saving on toilet cassette liquid.
I've been doing this since covid...

Wondering why this applies to women only.  Some men must use paper to tidy after having a wee.  Or might want to implement/suggest this system for the women in their lives.

Sainsbury's toilet rolls now come in paper packaging.  Hopefully, others will follow their lead.

why wee only? Toilet cloths are hardly new been about long before toilet paper was invented. Much better environmentally and financially. You are actually flushing money - bog roll - away.
I like the long handled watering can too. Sometimes known as lota or bodna,

I order my toilet paper online from Who Gives a Crap. Each roll is wrapped in pretty coloured paper and they encourage reusing the wrappers. At the bottom of the box there are even a couple of rolls wrapped in red paper with "emergency last roll" written on it to remind you to order more.

You can get paper wrapped toilet paper like https://uk.whogivesacrap.org/

Does your £70 factor in the additional washing?

Google "personal portable bidet" - a small bottle with an angled sprayer. Use it with warm water and a squirt of liquid soap and you just use the cloths to dry off.

There isn't any additional washing; I just put the cloths in with whatever other wash I'm doing.

I just thought more women are using more toilet paper for wee, than men are.  Of course men can use them too, if they want to!
