For anyone who remembers my previous thread about choosing between the 2 brokers etc. The DIP never came back from Bucks and I got my £250 back, I’m not sure it was ever even submitted since they never did a credit check but never mind.
Anyhow full application submitted to Mansfield17th May, was told up to 7 days for initial checks and request valuation but could be up to 6 weeks for offer, all good.

Had call today to pay application fee, and they told me valuation ordered. Asked a few additional questions, couldn’t verify me electronically so had to send passport, utility bill. Wanted email address to request professional indemnity insurance cert from solicitors and to query a really old address from 2005/2006 on my credit file. Gone back with what they asked for straight away.
Are these good signs? Would it have been declined by now if they were going to?
I know it’s all subject to valuation and since it’s a free one I’m guessing they are happy with everything before instructing that.

What takes so long from here now then assuming it takes the full 6 weeks to go to offer?

Sounds like your doing alright. I think you will be fine.
Bear in mind it is UPTO 6 weeks. It might take a few days for your valuation to be assessed, so that could be another week or 2 depending on when the valuation gets booked in for.
I have 2 cases in with them at the moment which are at the Q&A stage. Funnily enough the PII stuff has come up on both of those too.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
