Which company to use for DRO

Options
hello,

I’m currently in the process of applying for a DRO. At the moment I’m dealing with Citizens Advice and have been since February.

My original case worker has left and I’ve been passed to someone else who has been very delayed in sending out the paperwork.

I finally received this last week after waiting 5 weeks for it to arrive and numerous emails chasing it up.

I was told by them that DRO’s are currently taking 12 weeks to be processed and if I send my bank statements now I will have to resend them again if it goes over the 12 week mark as they won’t be up to date.

This isn’t a problem at all but I was speaking to a friend earlier today and she told me she was applying for a DRO and that she is doing hers via a company called money wellness.

I’ve never heard of them before but she said she was told her DRO would be completed in less than 3 weeks.

I’m quite anxious to get everything sorted and was wondering if anyone knows what the rough time frame is for these to be granted?

I don’t know if I should switch to Money wellness or stick with the CAB.

Are money wellness a genuine company or someone who will send me back to the CAB?

    I poster earlier that

The main suppliers of DROs are CAB (who take a very strict and laborious approach to them) and Money Wellness (who do the opposite)

@fatbelly Which in your opinion would be the best to go with?

The thing is that you are a long way through the process so i'd stick with CA.

If they refuse to submit an application for you, and for others reading this thread who may be thinking of starting from scratch, go with Money Wellness.

@fatbelly thank you for your reply and advice.

I’m about to post the paperwork back to them today. So hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here. If not I’ll switch over to money wellness.

Well it may not be smooth sailing but I would stick with them until/unless they say they can't submit it.

Can you let us know what happens and when?
