Hi, I bought a car on finance through Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Borehamwood. I know the registration of the car but can't find any documents on the finance agreement. Does anyone know what company they used for their finance back then or any way to find out? I wrote to my bank for old statements but they said they didn't keep any after 6 years ago and I can't find any paperwork or old emails at all. Thank you.

When did you buy?0

wont it show on your bank statementDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I bought it in 2010. I've tried the bank, they don't have records that far back.retiredbanker1 said:When did you buy?1 -

If you don't have any details your claim will go nowhere.
Even if you find out who the finance was with there is a chance that they are not trading today or that they do not have any details about you.0 -
I in the similar situation. Back in 2014 bough car through dealer was not sure how to start so went to Vauxhall but they responded "After making a reasonable and proportionate search of our records (and making due enquiries with appropriate third parties), we've not yet found out if we paid a commission to the dealer and, if so, whether it was a discretionary commission. This is due to the historic nature of your agreement with us." so even if it was with them they say its historic and sorry we cant help ...:/ Will have to go through some old records to see if I got any paperwork stating the body the finance was with...0

So Evans Halshaw Ford finance is a tricky one, as the finance company they originally used Pendragon has changed its name and even its business model - it no longer does finance. It is now called Lithia
However - there seems to be a way to get through the beurocracy.
You have to send your car finance complaint by snail mail letter to-- (this must be to ensure legal delivery and not spam email).
Lithia
Loxley House
2 Oakwood Court
Little Oak Drive
Nottingham
NG15 0DR
lithia.co.uk
then you should get a response - include all your details including your email address, as after that they seem to deal with you by email.

I'm not sure how helpful this will be to the OP, given they haven't been back here in a year and a half.discountdude8647 said:So Evans Halshaw Ford finance is a tricky one...

Its helpful for anyone that does a Google search looking for the same information.0

Slight confusion here. Pendragon were not a lender, they were a multi franchise dealer. They used multiple different lenders across their franchises. They traded mainly as Evans Halshaw for middle market brands & Stratstone for prestige brands. As a previous poster says Loxley House is the place to contact to enquire as to who your lender was however it won't be Pendragon itself.0
