Good morning, it's not a bad morning here, bright, but it has rained.
It'll be a quiet day here, Dh will be out most of the day at an event connected with his hobby, and I've got plenty to do.. I must go shopping, I was going to go yesterday and didn't.
Florence, you certainly work hard for the SA..
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you're doing - take care folks.

Good morning allThanks for starting us off ScarletHad a lovely day out yesterday. Went to Rudyard Kipling's house and gardens. Loved the house and the dodgy floorboards. Mind you it was built in the 1600s. Came home and read up a bit more about his life. Then watched the FA Cup Final. Happy days :-)Want to plant out my runner beans today and looking at the weather forecast it will be between the showers.Have a good day everyone x8

Thanks Scarlet and Chrisca for the start.
Yesterday was a blur of garden, cooking, chores, a little bit of craft work and dog walking. Finally sat down about 9pm.
Plenty to do today though the forecast is wet with yellow warning for thunder later - one of the reasons for getting all the outside jobs done yesterday.
I’ve the hall and stairs carpet to shampoo but other than that hoping to just craft.
Have possibly solved B-dog’s morning nausea - apparently dogs can get acid reflux when it’s a long time between dinner and breakfast. So saved a few pieces of dinner and gave him then at bedtime and he’s ok this morning - 🤞
Enjoy your Sunday and hope the poorly folk feel better soon

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.Yesterday was certainly a day of two halves. The morning was so chilly that I went back upstairs and put on a pair of tights. Then, in the afternoon the sun came out in force with the temperature reaching a baking 23°. By then I was out at an event and was so overheated. The event was a fund-raising afternoon in the garden of the big house here, it's are not huge but beautiful and so well kept.Today the weather is less promising. I'm going to change the bedding though doubt it'll go outside. No shopping needed, thank goodness, so it's just more pottering or slothing or both.Hugs to our poorlies.10

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. After a few dry but chilly days the rain is back, with a thunderstorm forecast for later. Are we ever going to have any summer I wonder.
Instead of changing the bed whilst it was fine I have left it until today and thanks to the rain it will festoon the upstairs to dry. Bah.
DS's birthday today - 49 eek. I won't be seeing him as they are up near Seahouses for the BH w/e. DD and youngest DGD are off to the caravan for the week so no family nearby.. Middle DGD arrived safely in Lourdes and is looking forward to helping those hopeful of a miracle.
My DF and family from Oz duly arrived to take some photos and on the one she has posted online I look to have a false eye!. Goodness knows what happened there! It was quite sad saying goodbye to her again as I doubt we will meet again bearing in mind our ages. The next leg of their round Britain trip is to York, then Scarborough, then up to Scotland.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all who need one. Take care and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all. Heard it raining earlier and expect it to return soon.
We had a lovely day yesterday when DD brought the boys over. All the extra food I bought in the morning was eaten though! There is a very small portion of shepherd's pie in the fridge but that's it.
I might go on the hunt today for a decent top or dress to wear at an event on Saturday. If I don't find anything then I have a fall back option in the wardrobe but not quite sure about wearing it. Other than that I have a free day. although there's always the ironing
Happy Sunday everyone10 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarletribbons
Yesterday was warm and sunny so I did a bit in the garden. Doesn't seem to look any better.
Rain forecast for the next few days.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning All
Back from my night away - it was glorious! Such a quiet place with just the birds singing and the sea to look at. The hotel itself was ok if a little old fashioned and dinner was hilarious, just like fawlty towers! We stopped at Castle Kennedy gardens on the way home which was lovely.
The weather was good whilst we were away but it's raining this morning and looks to stay that way all day. I'm sure I can find plenty to do inside but must go shopping at some point.
Lovely you could have a catch up with old friends TA.
You may need those tights again today Gers!
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX

I’ve now got my friends dog for 9 days they have gone on holiday but she’s as good as gold bathroom will be fitted Tuesday and Wednesday and then he will start the other one in June but I will say up to now he as been on time and not a speck of dust I’m very impressed I just need scarlet to come and decorate for me that’s the next job then nothing else this year I need some pennies saved . AA we are forecast thunder I don’t know when summer is going to start. TA your family do get about I get a shock when my lot have another birthday I don’t know how they have grown up so fast it sometimes doesn’t seem two minutes since they were all little even the grandchildren have grown up now . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, damp & drizzly here, luckily dog walked & birds fed before it started again. Yesterday turned out to be quite busy. DS and grandkids arrived so DGD could stay until DS/DGS came back from their haircuts. That was nice , we don't often get her to ourselves. She was telling us about high school, & is struggling in maths. It was always my weak point! Before she left primary last year, her teacher did some extra work with a few of the pupils, and was pleased with her progress. I do think some of the things they do are a bit irrelevant these days unless you are going to study maths at a higher levelOnce they'd gone we went over to Dbs to drop off a present for DNiece, who is 40 today. He was the only 1 in when we got there but SIL came back from shopping, closely followed by DN and little'un,and her DH in a separate car so that was lovely, not seen them for ages. We got back in time for the cup final, and then DH bbq'd a few bits for tea, it was a bit nippy sat out so I ate mine inside but he braved it out.I've got a turkey joint to cook today. It's been in the freezer since Cmas, I meant to use it at Easter but forgot. It'll do us 2 days easily.Allie, our pooch has 3 meals a day! but she is such a big dog- always willing to eat. We were told it's better for large dogs to split their meals so we've always done it. She stares at us intently if its a bit lateBye for now x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11

Morning all
Its been raining heavily all night but the sun is out for now they are saying a possibility of more rain later though, I have stripped the beds this morning and got the bedding in the wm I will try and hang it out for a while between showers.
I bought a bit of steak in the farm shop yesterday and two minty lamb chops both were lovely we had jersey royals asparagus and bbq cabbage which is so tasty we might do the same again today.
DD is on her way back from the hen weekend they have had a great time but I bet she will be shattered, the dogs will be so pleased to see her (as will I )
Might go out on the bikes later when dd is back, tomorrow is rain all day so need to make the most of it.
Have good days all and take care xx7
