HMRC Annual Tax Summary Past Four Years?

Hi folks!

Anyone know if there is a way to get a hold of HMRC Annual Tax Summaries past the four year cut-off? HMRC online provides them back to 2019-2020 but I need to go back another two years.

I've checked the Gov.UK forum and can't find any answers there except a blanket statement that they can't provide past four years (unless you've done Self Assessment, which I haven't.) I'm wondering if there is a way to write to HMRC to request them.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/hmrc-subject-access-request will get you whatever HMRC hold about you, so if they still have this data then they're legally obliged to disclose it, albeit not necessarily in its originally provided format.

Thank you for the link! That's a great help, I was hoping there would be a way to get the tax information from HMRC. I need it for a tax issue I'm having in the US (expat). Have a good weekend!
