My forecast is short of “full “ pension by about £25 per week. When I rang DWP to increase contributions they said I can’t add to any below 2016. I have 2 year (2013/14 and 2014/15) where I fall short by £67 per year but they won’t let me contribute towards it. I find Martins words misleading as he says you can pay as from 2006 . Any help anywhere my friends ?

Paying from 2006-07 to 2015-16 is dependent on your personal circumstances and Martin clearly states that.  If DWP advise you cannot pay for those pre 2016 years then you were in a contracted out pension scheme which limits how many pre 2016 years you can use, you are limited to 35 in any case.  Post 2016 years will add to your pension.
