Good morning, thanks for starting Florence. Commiserations to Mr F about the colonoscopy, the prep is as bad as the procedure. Hope he'll be ok.
It's a grey start here, and chilly, yesterday wasn't bad but not particularly good either.
It's going to be a painting day today, we can't go at it like we used to, but it doesn't matter. If the house is in a turmoil there's only us here anyway.
Thoughts to our poorly people, especially Nanny.
Take care folks.11 -
Thanks for the start Florenceem
Scarlet - happy painting
Nan - Hope yesterday went ok.
Work all day today.I managed to escape mid afternoon yesterday after invigilating a long exam and doing some admin. Finished up doing bits a pieces, changing lightbulb, fixing a printer when I got home - and some sewing before my eyes were too tired.I’m already stacking up the half term jobs, decided against going away until Barney-dog’s is off his medication - I like to walk every day on holiday and he’ll still be on shortish walks by next week so will try and use the time to catch up at home.Happy Tuesday all and take care,

Morning allLooking very dull ou there this morning. I put some washing out earlier as it's due to rain later so it should get a couple of hours on the line. Ordered some new sunglasses yesterday with the polarised lenses so less squinting when driving the car when the sun's out, hopefully! Not much going on today. We have very hard water here so the kitchen sink is going to be buffed up with a well no product that gets rid of hard water stains, some ironing has my name on it too.Hope the medical appointments go well for Mr F and Nan today xHave a good day all x8

Morning all. Very dull here today and I might have to put the light on soon.
Up early as I have a dental appointment for a temporary crown. After that I need to make a shopping list and go to the supermarket. Since we got back we've just picked up bits and pieces so some proper restocking is needed. We're having salmon and roasted veg tonight and I'll do my new favourite, roasted cauliflower.
I felt very tired all day yesterday; goodness knows why.
Hope everyone's day goes well.9 -
Morning, thanks for starting us off Florence. I hope that MrF isn't too uncomfortable today. It's a beautiful start to the day, I hope it remains as yesterday was decidedly cool.I didn't go to my exercise class, too much coughing and then a cold started. It was the type that just drains, not pleasant. I've also cancelled my invigilation this morning as the coughing goes on in spasms, it's not fair to the students. So, another day at home. It's been years since I had to phone in sick! 😂
My day is open, as open as a hacking cough and tsunami of snot can make it. I'll make a virtuous veggie and fruit concoction in the bullet to 'feed a cold', it may help.I'm sending hugs to all those who are more enduring medical problems much more serious than my pathetic cold! I really hope that all are recovering well. Especially @Nan.9 -
Morning folks and thanks Florenceem for starting us off. I hope Mr F's procedure goes well.
It's currently quite a nice start here but sadly it aint going to last. Rain is due later. I am meeting my DF for lunch and you can bet the rain will start just as I am walking down to the bus stop. I hope she doesn't have to cancel this time as it's ages since we had our last Tuesday lunch, thanks to her DH's unpredictable mood swings. I don't know how she keeps her temper with him, I would have erupted long before now.
I got all the 'van washing done and dried yesterday. I think all that I am going to iron is a cotton top and 2 pillow cases and no rush for that. I should really assess what's what in the back garden before I go out and will avoid looking at the front as usual. I wish I could source somebody to tidy it up without paying stupid prices for a professional gardener.
Have a good day folks if you can and I hope we get some better news from NAN today. ((HUGS)) for all in need and take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Morning all. I have a diabetic course of some kind this morning for three hours. Show willing innit. After I potted those trees yesterday I did a lot of sleeping, and made far too much macaroni cheese. There was a packet of opened borwn pasta that had been sitting there for a while so I used it but underestimated how much there was. Enough to feed an army that;'s how much. I forsee a life in the freezer for a lot of it. Macaroni cheese tonight it is! Again!Gers, hope it's a flash in the pan cold. dp1, your gd is funny isn't she
coxy, at least you have pretty things taking over your beds
Izzy, not a lot is just the ticket! But remember, your not a lot is probably my quite a lot! Allie, don't forget to factor in some fun along with the jobs! Flo, fingers crossed for mr f...TA, hope it's nice and quiet in your house after the busy van shennanigans! bella, snoozer, hope you're both well, nanny, hope your hand is better. Take care all, shout to the unwell or grumpy, or mia....

Morning all
Its dull and overcast here with rain due later this afternoon, I had the most terrible night last night and saw most of the clock as it went around so I shall be like a wet rag today I should think.
Three people coming today and we are yet to decide what we are going to do, they will probably want to go for a walk as they seem to want to do that atm it’s fine with me we need to make the most of the dry weather.
Something with mince for dinner possibly a spag bol or a chilli, house is tidy might just have to hoover through before my guests come.
Nan I hope yesterday went well xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Hi everyone,
It's a slow start today, Eben has gone to nursery and Laura to work but Esther seems tired and is just chilling on the settee. It was her nursery day yesterday and apparently she was quite upset, but I realised the nursery workers in her new room have been putting her Upsy Daisy doll away, the first thing she said when I arrived was "Daisy". She was allowed it whenever she wanted in the baby room she was in until a few weeks ago so Laura is going to ask that they let her have it with her.
Commiserations to Mr Florence, I got a letter last week that they want to repeat my colonoscopy because of the biopsy they did on the polyp they removed. I might ring them because it doesn't give a timeframe and it's preying on my mind - if it's going to be in 6 months time I want to be able to forget about it.
I hope your appointment went well Nanny.
Have a good day.10
