Debt-Free Wannabe Sticky - Provit & Statute Barred Letters, Defaults, Help and Guidance, All Here... — MoneySavingExpert Forum
what you have to remember is creditors go through a process of phone calls, e mails, letters. The only letter you could receive that is important is a letter before action. Unlikely but you must open letters to check.
All other threats are empty ones which you ignore whilst you stop paying, waiting for defaults and building up an emergency fund.
Enough for you to start but keep posting with any questions you have.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1 -
The old adage "sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me" springs to mind.
Letters are just recycle bin fodder, you should only do debt management with a debt charity or on your own, going with anywhere that charges you for the service is just adding to your financial woes.
Please take the advice above, these companies do absolutely nothing to justify their fee, their online spiel is always excellent, just to the point where you part with your money, they can`t do anything you cannot do yourself.
DMP`s don't get accepted or rejected, as fatbelly said above, you pay according to your available budget, if a particular creditor doesn't like it, they simply sell the debt to someone else, who will accept.
Please cancel your agreement with the fee charging company, they are just taking advantage of you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
