Redundancy and Maternity

Options
Good Morning,

Wasnt sure If I should have put this under the redundancy forum, but with maternity being involved I thought this is likely the best place to post.

My Partner has 2 part time jobs, she has just gone on maternity on both of them. The one is safe (Tescos) however the other looks like its gone bump. She hasnt had a letter yet, but some of her colleagues have said they have received a letter informing them.

Shes been there about 2 years 8 months, so know she will get "some" redundancy, I think we worked it out that its 3 weeks + her remaining 4 week holiday. The complicated part is naturally the maternity pay, so how would this now work? Obviously on paper she will be receiving Maternity from her other company, so on paper it looks like shes already getting it, however with the job going now, that's about £500 a month gone. her other job only normally brings in about £700.

As we dont have a letter yet - I think its from an insolvency company, what should be expect on it, will it be generic or will they provide detail of what to do for maternity etc.

Thanks

Congratulations on the forthcoming addition to the family, commiserations on the lousy timing of the employer's insolvency, particularly if she'd hoped to return to work there.

Not 100% sure what your question is.  As far as SMP (statutory maternity pay) is concerned the two employers have no connection.  Entitlement to SMP and what is paid will be based by each employer on that employment alone.  So you might have entitlement from one employer both employers or neither employer.  If you have qualified for SMP then it will be paid whatever happens though often when redundancy is involved it gets paid as a lump sum; not ideal but nothing you can do about it.

Pretty simple: OP is asking what will happen.

People who post questions here do so because they don't know the basics and hope that someone else does/can point them in the right direction.

My apologies for any offence caused by my poor phrasing, but there appeared to be two questions.
First would SMP paid by one employer be affected by what happens with the other employer.  Here I was able to confirm that this would not happen the remainder of the SMP will be paid though its net value may be reduced if it is paid as a lump sum.
Second how this would be dealt with by the insolvency company.  Here I have no experience and could offer no answer.

Sorry for the delay in coming back. we needed to see what happened. @chrisbur @Marcon

Sorry im not great expressing myself in forums now, what sounded like a question in my head may not have been, im seeking understanding more than anything.

So we have applied for SMP. They have said we may need to do a separate claim for the few weeks owed that may have been pocketed.

Partner last worked May 6th ish before going off on Mat Leave. We were told by letter as of 26th May shes no longer employed by them and to wait for letters from company dealing with insolvency.

Shes had an email now with the letters which is dated 18th June, the RP1 Factsheet is also dated 18th June suggesting that the company went insolvent on this date.

Her last pay date was 10th May, which does not show any SMP in there, so assuming that this is based up to possibly a week befores hours for the 4 weeks prior.

So in terms of her claim, Is it below

4 Weeks Starting Pay - She worked 4 weeks in hand when she started,
Difference between last calculated pay and Insolvency Date (18th June - 6 weeks pay) or When shes told she's not employed anymore (26th May - 3 1/2 weeks)? Unsure what applies?
Statutory Redundancy (Is it 1 weeks pay for each year?)
    Holiday Entitlement?

Sorry not used to this kind of thing.
