Redeployment - they have suggested roles but the only ones available are not suitable to him - in areas he has no prior experience or are at much higher grades than his current one. Due to his illness and treatment, he has memory difficulties and difficulties learning new skills. So redeployment could be challenging and the employer has also stated this.

Is he currently close to the lowest grade in the organisation?
Would all of the roles which are not "much higher" be at the same level as his present role?
Have they mentioned anything at a "lower grade" which therefore might be in an area that he knows but they had not wanted to suggest as it would mean less pay?
If he's not too proud to take a lower grade job, then he could explore that possibility.0
