Good morning, it's just started to rain here, but it's not cold.
Hope you had a good journey home yesterday Gers.
Sorry to hear you haven't been very well Nanny. No - one is sick of you ! You're among friends here. Feel better soon!
Taff I am a great procrastinator and have to be firm with myself. I'm not as bad as I used to be though.
Snoozer, I've just had a major clothes sort and tidy, you feel better after it I think.
Coxy is it nearly 6 months since you started that job, how the time goes.
I'm having a day at home today I think, not visiting anyone or meeting for coffee. I've got a few jobs planned.
Hope everyone has a good day, and the poorly ones soon feel better.
Take care folks.

Copy and pasted my starter as we had duplicate threads so please use this one 😀Morning allI'm the early bird but not catching any worms! Have to be in work at 730am to help sort exam papers for the 550+ students taking Maths.TA - enjoy your extended breakGers - hope you got home safely and aren't in too much discomfortTaff - yes I agree about the chores, ran out of time yesterday so they'll have to wait!RosyRed - I'll have a go at making anything really, especially if it involves recycling things. Current 'makes' include fabric padded cases for glasses/phones/tablets etc., fabric pen and glasses holders that you can clip on a lanyard or with elastic that go around a notebook, and any small wooden signs with phrases/words on. All sounds a bit random writing it down.......maybe it is :-)Have a good day all

Morning folks, it's been damp overnight though the sun is trying to force away the clouds. Thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.I made it home safely yesterday. Only stopped at Cranstons near to the M6 roundabout in Penrith. I'd only been once before so took time to look round properly. What struck me was that the majority of staff are not the youngster we expect in shops. It was delightful to see and be served by those in their 50s or even 60s. It made such a difference to my shopping experience. I asked one woman about a particular item I couldn't find. She hadn't heard of it so did a search but didn't find it. Just as I was at the till she came back to me to say that it was at the butcher counter and took me there. She had continued to look for it and found that it was named slightly differently to what I had asked for. Excellent service.Today it's my pool session. I checked my hip via the mirror, it's certainly coloured up and my swimming costume won't hide it.When at my friends house the husband used a Nutribullet thing which impressed me. He whizzed up a 'great' looking breakfast drink with spinach, ginger, banana and other stuff. I like it so much that I ordered one on Tuesday night and found it waiting for me yesterday. So, I'm on new journey to healthy drinks though I can't see it replacing white wine!@Nan - you're not boring in the least and I will be very upset if you stop posting.@Coxy - you've got me thinking about roast pork now!@ Allie - thanks, the discomfort is easing but the memory lingers on.@Ruby - sorry you're still feeling rough, these things do take their time to finally leave. Just take things easy for a while.@TA - lovely to hear from you. Enjoy the chaos!I hope that all our poorlies, young or old, are mending.9

I tell the DGC mums I am a spare gran if neededWell I think my Oc..o order will be here shortly so will love you and leave you, and hope you have a nice day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning! The sun is trying it's very best to shine but the clouds have other ideas. Not a lot planned for today, spot of gardening, spot of DIY, buy a torch...I can't find the charger I was using for my purloined one, it's lasted for about 8 years or more so it's been pretty good but now there are a new generation of torches which can light up the moon [ or it appears so ] so I might get one of those. A visit to the Hellmouth beckons for me to look at paint as well, and trims becuase finally, after six years of talking about it, i'm going to make a start on sorting it out. I need some floor tiles too. Luckily any cuts will be straight cuts, not bendy ones. Ooo, shopping!Nanny, shush, we don't care if you moan, you're allowed to, if it gets too much someone will tell you to shut up, so carry on. And I hope the worst passes soon...Gers, sounds lovely, just the accessory a body needs Glad it's better! Ruby, glad you are too, but it does seem a lingering one this one, especially if Allie is anything to go by. I'm not sure if I'd be the size of a house or a rake if I couldn't smell or taste. Scarlet, enjoy your bad self at home, it's nice to not go somehwere or have to go somehwere. Coxy, happy birthday to yuor nephew! I'd like ot see the fall guy too, and dune 2 in Imax...we shall see. Izzy, let me know when and I'll supply some plants [ you did make me laugh!] Have a lovely time today! Take care all, hugs to everyone, needed or not, because free hugs innitShampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...9

Hello all, thank you for your kind words, sorry I seem to be saying that a lot lately but lack of sleep because of this itching really gets me down. It is looking less angry though so fingers crossed it's easing but I still think it's stress related.
Yesterday I received my oncology appointment for next Monday too, not looking forward to that. We had a dummy run with the suitcase and everything fits as Mr Fix It said it would 😏, so I had to eat my words. I put everything back on hangers so they only need the iron running over them then packing. I did put one long sleeved blouse in the cs bag as the arms are too tight and sadly I'd only worn it twice. I don't know where those bingo wings came from, I'm sure they weren't there last year !
Today we're going over the 'van to change the tap, hope it goes smoothly but it probably won't. Thankfully Mr Fix It is a very patient person, unlike me. I'll make some sandwiches and a flask then we can spend as much time as we need. Can't see us getting away soon so we'll sit and pretend we're on site !
Take care all, hugs to the poorly and worried ones.

Morning everyone
Very misty here when I got up, it's clearing slowly. so we'll maybes get some sunshine this afternoon.
My appointment yesterday was fine, I need to go another 3 times. Only had time for a short wander - most of the main shopping street in Newcastle is dug up, there were diggers and barriers everywhere. Two out of my three charity shops have closed, which was disappointing - they were always good for a bargain. Maybes they've just moved, I'll have to try to find out before I'm there next.
I've been for some shopping this morning and have just had a cuppa. I'll have to finish putting it away and then make my lunch before I go down to work.
Eldest DD has been texting this morning - there had been awful turbulence for the first 4 hours of her flight, she said it was the first time she's felt scared on a plane. There had been a bad storm over China. It hasn't put her off though - she got home about 9am and flies to Corfu tomorrow at 5am for her pole dancing camp!
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
