Hi, I was looking at my National Insurance record after listening to the latest podcast. I noticed I have incomplete years from when I was at university (1996-2000). I otherwise have all other years complete. My questions are
- is this the case for everyone? I didn't have a paid job when I was at uni
- does it matter, as I am predicted a full state pension and have lots of other  complete NI years?
- if it's not normal / is an issue, is there a way to sort it? I know I'm too late to buy the years

Thanks in advance

Yes, you don't get credits for time in higher education.
If you turned 18 prior to 2010 you will have got credits for the years you turned 16, 17, and 18, but this was stopped in 2010 when the number of years needed was reduced.

    No.
    - if it's not normal / is an issue, is there a way to sort it? I know I'm too late to buy the years

no, no way to sort it now, but as above it's not an issue.
