New job - Will this affect me getting a new mortgage?

Good morning all,
I am hoping I can get a little advice here. I have been with my employer for around 16 years, but have the opportunity to get a new job elsewhere for more money. I am currently looking to move house and will need to apply for a new mortgage when I do so. How will moving to a new company effect getting a mortgage, as I know lenders look at the stability / length of time with your employer. If I change jobs, and have only been in the role for a couple of months will this have an impact. I am thinking of not taking up this great opportunity (which is amazing)  in order to make sure I get my mortgage. Would lenders look at previous length of service favourably. I have no big debts, excellent credits score. Thank you, I hope someone can help with this question!

Well stop that! Never make career decision based on likelihood of getting a mortgage.

This situation is something that just needs to be managed in the right way using the right lender depending on the timing.

Some Lenders will work from a job offer, some from the new role start date, some from the first payslip, some after any probationary period.

    Take the great opportunity.

Moving job and moving house often happen at the same time.  Lenders and brokers understand this.
