Good morning folks. It's rather muggy just now, not sure how it'll turn out. Coffee will help.

Morning All
Very grey and muggy this morning, seems to be getting darker! Yesterday wasn't too bad with just a couple of heavy showers. No thunder and lightening, I was quite looking forward to that.
I cleaned out the pantry and wiped down all the shelves, put a couple of things out but not enough! Also had a trip to the loft to take some things up and bring down the big suitcase although there's a good few weeks until I use it. It's handy to put things in as there's a pile of holiday stuff in my bedroom growing by the day.
Hope you're feeling better again today Ruby.
Must head for the shower, it's to be a busy day at work. Take care. XX9 -
I'm just about ready for my day. Hair washed, teeth brushed and coffee ready. Yesterday was fine until late afternoon. The washing dried well though about 20 seconds after I started to bring it in the rain started. No storm, only persistent fine rain.Later on I decided to go out to fill up the car and buy my friends' favourite biscuits (mini-Tunnock tea cakes caramel wafers in a tub), it didn't all go well. Firstly I tripped as I sneezed on my drive which is pebbles, fell on my good hip and struggled to get up though I'm chuffed that I managed it. Now limping on both sides!
At the garage the electronic tills failed just as I was about to be served. The two assistants had to phone the owner to come down, meanwhile a huge queue formed although it was self-limiting as those waiting blocked new sales. I drove home and back to get cash by which time the system had been re-booted.
My night was very uncomfortable, I ended up taking paracetamol at 3.00a.m. before dozing off. I've dug out the lidocaine patches which the GP gave me ages ago and will stick one on later this morning so I can be pain free tonight.I'm off down to Darlington this morning for two nights with my closest friends. We have the funeral on Tuesday, it's being held in the really beautiful Saltburn, a lovely place for a lovely old colleague. My bag is packed, I've even dug out a proper jacket though I think the weather is going to be rainy so posh waterproof packed too. This means that I'll miss my Monday exercise, probably just as well with two dodgy hips. One will be healed by next week.I hope that everyone is mending or resting or getting and taking care.9 -
Morning allSorry to hear you had a tumble Gers. Hope you feel better soon. Same to RR, hope you're feeling better.Lovely weather here yesterday. Sitting out on the lovely clean patio in the sunshine in the afternoon. Cloudy today. Have a few errands to run so up and out soon. Apart from that nothing else going on. I might pop into the garden centre while I'm out so may come back with a few more things for the garden.Have a good day all x8

Morning! Off to Blenheim Palace today for a day out with friends so not a lot else planned. there's chicken marinading in the fridge for wraps, I'll cook it all later and freeze it for future use. I spent yesterday potting on tomatoes and various other things, fetching freebies, cleaning my car , only on the inside though, if the promised thunderstorms had arrived the outside would have been dirty again anyway. No thunderstorms arrived so I'll probaly do it tomorrow morning now. The Eurovision was a ;augh on Saturday, I did spend a lot fot ime thinking, I really do not understand European mentality, but then, when I watched the UK entry, I realised it's not so much Europe, it's just youth....
I think I am officially in 'oh my god the youth of today ' mode. Although to be fair, i quite admire them as a generation, because they will not put up with any of the rubbish we used to, and they won't be fooled by the lies we used to be told too.
Ruby, glad you're feeling better. Allie, hope B dog is not hungry!Gers, hope the trip goes well, shame about the nosedive, definitely take the pk's. Nanny, hope the steroid cream is working. Izzy, how are you finding life in the slow lane [ although it's never really slow with you!] TA< hope you had a nice weekend in the van...Take care all, make it through the day!

Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Gers hope you feel better soon.
Lovely weather here but rain forecast for tomorrow.
I thought I might clean the block paving and patio but the pressure washer had other ideas. It works but no pressure. No idea how to fix it. It's annoying but might have to buy another one
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.8 -
Morning everyone
We have mist at the minute but it looks as if the sun is trying to pop through. It's been beautiful all weekend - I've got lots done in the garden. My big planters are all done now, just a couple of smaller ones left and still lettuce, peas and spinach to plant. Hopefully I'll get the paving stones jet washed one day this week - the company that cut my grass will do that for me.
The film I saw on Saturday afternoon was really good - Back to Black, it was very sad.
Right I'm going to get on, I've done nothing indoors this weekend so I need to iron and hoover before I go down to work.
Gers - Saltburn looked lovely in the film
Taff - I'd like to visit Blenheim too
Hope everyone has a good day x

Very busy weekend mostly outdoors - was lovely sitting sanding my wood blocks under the apple tree yesterday
Back to work - four full days so I’ll be zombified by the end of the week.
We had a huge thunder storm about 6pm yesterday - it was great - little dog doesn’t care, thankfully, he just woofs at the big crashes of thunder
Take care all

Morning all
Its overcast here with rain due later this afternoon I have a wash on the go which I will hang out for a little while, there are still towels out there from yesterday which were not quite dry.
I started to feel a lot better yesterday afternoon 😃 I even managed a few little jobs and cooked a whole chicken made a salad and jersey royals which we ate in the garden it was nice to get some sun on me, I am not working today as I felt I needed another day to recover so hopefully I will be brand new tomorrow !
It looks as if OH has shingles though his rash on his back is much worse and is now burning he has taken today off as well hopefully he will fight it off quickly.
Not sure about dinner tonight there are still pizzas in the freezer which we could have with salad.
Gers sorry to hear about your tumble get well soon xxx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -

Gers take care after your fall x
Ruby glad you are on the mend and hope DH is soon too x
Not been posting but have been reading along to keep up with everyone's news
Managed to get a little burnt on Friday so have been and bought sunscreen, was just pottering in the garden so need to be careful.
We love where we live now and the garden has really sprung into life recently.
DH has his indoor bowls tonight and is really enjoying himself as well as improving his game
Still no sign of NMLC hoping her and the family are ok
Hugs to all who want them hope the weather improves for those who had the storms
