Morning All
It's Friday, the sun is just about to break through the mist and it's to be warm, what a start to the day!
The bedding is just about to finish in the WM and I'll get that out before I go to work, must also open the greenhouse or everything will wilt.
Hope everyone is ok, how are you today Ruby? Take care. XX10 -
Coffee by my side and I'm ready to face the world. The sun is breaking up the clouds so may well shine all day.My invigilation yesterday took place in a different location, only one student with compromised health issues doing Higher English. After it I went almost straight home, just stopped to pick up a sandwich in town. I spent the rest of the day shifting money around to open and fund a new ISA. Robbing Peter to pay Paul! After a lot of moaning, on my part, about the lack of a number pad on my new laptop I found out that not many new ones have it. And the ones which do are rather low spec. So, I've ordered a USB plug in one to add on when I do my weekly and monthly banking, it's the small things. This morning I'm back at the school for Higher 'Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies' exam. I haven't invigilated this subject before so will be interested to read the paper. The temperature is promised to reach 20 degrees so I could retire to the garden in the afternoon. I've had to order a new battery for my lawnmower (Grrr) which is on back order until mid-June so no grass cutting, I'll need to ask my gardener again.I've washed and put away my winter and spring tights, maybe I'm being rash, time will tell. Talking of time - I'm racking up the excitement for double Dr Who tomorrow. I may well be entering my dotage but the thrill of Dr Who has never left me. It's good that the child in me is still present.@TA - have a lovely time at the caravan, I'm ordering you some sunshine.Get well soon to all our poorlies and sad of spirit.10

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's fine here, yesterday was positively hot! We're not used to it.
I was glad to get my hair cut yesterday, I now look fairly human, so won't be frightening the bairns.
I'm in the middle of a big clothes sort out, I got clothes out of the loft where they'd been stored for the winter. I'd bought a few items when I was in Oz, and it gave me a bit of a pang when I saw them, we'd had such a wonderful time with the family.
Anyway I've started a cs bag, and am determined not to keep things if I don't wear them.
Hope you're starting to feel better Ruby., and thoughts to you Nanny.
Have a good day everyone, take care.

Morning
Ruby - hope you’re improvimg
Nanny - how’s the itching?
Gers - interesting subject -I’m on Business Studies this morning and German this afternoon!
Taff - thank you for remembering and asking about my smell/taste…..it’s no better….7 weeks! Spoke to the Dr again yesterday and it’s likely nerve damage and will take as long as it takes. Could do an ENT referral but waiting list is more than a year she has however emailed ENT for any suggestions
After invigilating in a warm room I’ll likely be shattered. One advantage of not smelling anything is not having to deal with the odour of teenage boys in a warm room 😂😂
Dog waking will be delayed until after dinner and when it’s cooler.Take care all

Morning all. Looks bright and sunny here.
Today we are off to visit a friend in Leicestershire. I've made a lemon drizzle cake to take and we will return home with an elderly banjo, which another friend is going to renovate and then sell on for charity. Fair exchange I'd say!
We had an unexpected wedding invitation arrive in the post yesterday. It's for DH's cousin's daughter in October but they all live in Canada. It would be lovely to see that side of the family once more but we will have to work out if it's doable for us. It's near Ottawa, which we last briefly visited in 1983, so have been looking at the photo album to relive the memories.
Off to get ready now. Hope everyone's day goes to plan.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another lovely day is promised and it feels warm again.
I'm not leaving for the 'van till after lunch as I have the pleasure of an appointment for my 2nd Shingles jab on route. Clothes for all seasons are packed as it's forecast to be all change from Monday. Nice weather never lasts in the UK does it!! Books, bottles and non-perishable food stuff packed but the rest is languishing in the fridge till departure time. I have a gammon joint on the go at the minute and that will feed me in a variety of meals for the first few days. It's only a small site with no shop nearby which means everything has to go with me. Fortunately we have plenty of fridge and freezer space so I won't starve!
I need to water all the pots this morning as they do dry out quickly this weather. The rain from Monday will then take over!
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. NAN I hope the itching has eased and RUBY I hope you are soon feeling better. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning! 24 degrees yesterday! blimey, I was sweatig and everything Off to Ohs mums in a minute, to make sure she doesn't do herself an injury, and then home to rummage through my plant sale offerings for tomorrow [ why on earth did I say I'd grow some stuff, next time I keep shtum...] I picked up some roof tiles again yesterday to put on the ground by the garage so some truf lifting and stacking is predicted for this weekend along with coffe with friends tonight, kebabs for eurovision tomorrow night with friends and hopefully nothing on Sunday..Gers and AA, enjoy the invigilating! I also smiled at the smell of teen spirit such a shame about the smell/taste, I did read something about smell therapy but that may just be wishful thinking. WL, go! if you can that is TA, enjoy some time away and if you want summer all the time, it's easy, just move to Spain I think the beauty of our weather , having seasons that, you appreicate every one more when you've had to contend with the previous one it's character building or something....?! Nanny, hope you're feeling less bleurgh...Ruby, you too. Enjoy the weekend all if you are able, if not, hope it's not as bad as you fear...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...7

Another lovely day here and I think I have turned a corner a bit 🤞 feel very slightly better and have woken starving which is a good sign will get some breakfast after this and it will hopefully stay in, AA I feel for you with the no smell taste thing it’s horrible it makes you not want to eat anything as it all tastes of nothing !Going to have another easy day today and hopefully be much better tomorrow.
TA have a lovely time away xxx
Thank you for all the good wishes xx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Morning all, after a good sleep last night I feel a bit more human today, even though I'm still itching I can face the day better when I've had some sleep.
I got all the washing done, dried and put away yesterday with only my linen type trousers going in the ironing basket. I also did some weeding but kept out of the sun and picked just those in the shade. I shall hopefully finish the patio today and then I'll put some weed killer down to finish off those stubborn ones. At the moment I'm waiting for a sm delivery and there are a few things OOS and subbed. Mr Fix It is hopefully finishing off the strimming of the back lawn as the new strimmer wire came yesterday. Hold that thought....... I've just been informed the strimmer has now stopped working ! Oh well it will keep him occupied taking it apart to find out what's wrong.
Cranky thank you, I have PM'd you back.
WL fingers crossed you get to the wedding in Canada.
RedRuby hope you're on the mend 🤞
TA I hope you have great time at the van.
Gers I'm not sure about Dr Who, especially if there's singing and dancing.
taff enjoy Eurovision, I used to watch it many moons ago but it's not my cup of tea now.
Thank you all for thinking about me 🧡 Hugs to all.
Take care stay safe and enjoy the nice weather if you can
