Im sure we will. Its a matter of when, not if.

Its the thought of the extra £298 in my bank account each month that spurs me on. Just think what i could do with that much extra money each month.

It was the overtime cut off at work today, and after working an additional 30.5 hrs im in for a bumper wage this month hopefully, if the powers that be can work out the wages correctly (it will be a miracle. I like to call them graduates in ivory towers, who carry themselves as gods but have zero experience in the real world and get very little correct, but thats another story )

The entire £400+ (before tax) will be going towards the debt, itll feel good to get such a huge sum off the bottom line, especially as my normal monthly payment and £500 from my mortgage holiday will come off at the same time. Over a £1000 off the balance in one day. Its the stuff dreams are made of.

God im sinking to new lows in my saddo ranking

  • Hi you may also need to look at whether you can get your LTV into the next bracket, which will also affect your interest rate. Good luck V x

Not too hot on ltv, but i get the basic principle. I think I just worked it out as 35% roughly, give or take valuation. Also just checked the wifes credit score and like mine, its 999, so id imagine when renewal time comes around we should be hitting some quite good mortgage deals

Requested a 310 pound refund today from Octopus. I always make a point of overpaying so as to enjoy a little bonus every so often. I use it as a little savings account. I know its not best practice but im used to over paying and i seemingly have commitment issues with saving accounts.

On the downside i was weak and bought a can of coke. Thats 1.10 wasted. Annoyed with myself but its actually quite pleasing at the same time. Not the waste but the anger.

Self critique is a good thing right?

So ive a confession to make. Im an addict. Its not one of the more serious addictions like drugs or gambling, but its an addiction all the same, and it costs me money to service. Its an addiction to energy drinks.

Ive drank them for almost 15 years now, drinking probably a litre of the stuff a day at times, although i have gone 8 months without once, and a few more periods of a couple of months here and there. I know which shops stock which brands, where the offers are and will actively make excuses to nip out the house to buy one.

Ive tried going cold turkey, which resulted in the small periods of down time but i always return.

Id say on average i spend £2-3  a day on them. Not a great deal but obviously this adds up over time and its something i would love to shelve but dont see how. Its definately my weakness.

Huel have brought out a health vitamin drink which supposedly gives a boost but it wouldnt be the same for my adhd brain seeking a buzz.

    Anyone dealt with anything similar?

So first week of my challenge and ive made the £40.45p payment to my debt, along with about another £12 on top from branded surveys which is good.

The wife now wants to go to primark to restock the eldests wardrobe for summer because shes grown out of everything since last year. I know it needs to be done but paying out the £50 or £60 she will end up spending will be gut wrenching.

On for a tight end to the month, got to make circa £180 last until next thursday including fuel and big shop but we will get there.

Made an impulse buy last year on wish, 5 bags of climbing wall grip holds to build the kids their own wall. Would you be surprised to hear they've sat in the garage since arrival?

Its not the only purchase ive made like that, so i have made a promise to myself to get them all done, starting with the wall. Ended up costimg me more money in wall plugs, washers, screws etc, so all in all about 50 quid, but the majority was spent last year and the kids love it.

Ive deleted facebook now, mainly so i dont see a never ending stream of adverts that i dont need. Surprised how little i miss it.

Octapus refund finally came through. Realised though i still owed my dad £200 for next years season ticket ( the football is my only thing, and its a purchase i wouldnt do without). So that leaves £110 which has all gone towards the debt.

Feel like it should be a good week this week. Keep on smiling

It’s a known thing for ADHD peeps to self medicate with energy drinks, they need the caffeine/sugar hit (DS with ADHD and a huge Pepsi habit 🤣🤣🤣)
