I defaulted on a piggybank loan in 2013 which to be honest I was in the process of moving was only £100 I thought it had gone through as was linked to my bank card . Fast foward 7 years later out of the blue piggybank contacted me asking for the money and I noticed they had put hard searches on my creditFile a year after it had fallen off, After going back and foward they agreed the debt was statute barred and they couldn’t enforce and gave me the default date but they’ve refused to remove from my credit file it also says agreement to pay to which is a lie as I’ve not even acknowledged the loan which I’ve only just seen I’ve written and emailed for a sar but it’s been ignored I’ve also sent a email today to they’re complaints department and have had a reply saying that they’re complaints are no longer being delt with as no longer in administration . I just want it removed from my file any advice please ??? They added agreement to pay year after it fell off my record just so it showed on my report again which I thought was illegal

The default should have been automatically removed after 6 years, and no further reporting should have taken place after that.
If the company is still trading, then complaints must be dealt with, you can ring the FOS helpline, explain your situation, and they will write to the lender telling them they have a complaint to deal with.
You may also want to try the ICO, as they deal with all things data related.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
