Formal letter of claim issued - What would be my next steps?

Hi,
I'm very confused at the moment and was wondering if someone could help. I just received an email from the solicitors representing the credit card company I owe £14,000+ that a formal letter of claim has been issued. I lost my business earlier this year and earn nothing. I also have a 5 month old baby so I don't work and barely cover my bills as I'm on Universal Credit. There is literally no money anywhere to pay off the debt which I incurred while trying to save my business. What would be my next steps in this situation?
Thanks in advance.

If they are applying for a CCJ they must by law send you a letter before action by snail mail, so an E Mail is not enough.
You will have to sit tight and wait for that letter. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
I'm going to ask for this to be moved to the main dfw forum as I think more people will see it there0

The mods will move it if they agree.
You can't do anything till the formal letter arrives
