Morning allWell it's a very wet start to the day here but they promise it will stop by lunchtime. Must put some washing on the airer before I go out food shopping later. Apart from that nothing exciting going on here except DH has bought a posh coffee machine so will have to have a play with that later. If I drink enough of the stuff I might manage to stay up later and not keep waking up at such an uneartly hour! As if!Hope everyone has a good day x10

Morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's warm there, lovely! Though it's not bad here, 10°.
Not a lot going on here today, taking a friend for her hospital appt, probably doing a bit of shopping, then visiting another friend tonight.
Hope everyone is all right, take care folks.

Thanks to all the early posters
Damp here, and grey and not really warm! Western Scotland certainly seems to be getting some lovely temperatures.I’m counting votes today - a sensible 9am start (I wouldn’t do it if it was overnight!) - of course there’s no real idea of how long it’ll take depending on how many people voted and any discrepancies. Hoping to be finished mid afternoon though. No other plans - I’ll likely be shattered from concentrating!

Good morning. I’ve just been for a healthy walk. There was some water in the air, not sure if it was rain. Maybe just mist. Eaten a nice breakfast l, just need to put tomato soup into containers before work. So tired though. It should be ok on the stove until tonight.0 bonus saver

Morning folks and thanks GERS for kicking off. After 3 lovely sunny days we are back to cloud this morning. But at least it is still feeling mild and any rain is forecast to be light.
I got to the end of cleaning all the windows yesterday and then cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. I decided that was enough work for one day and spent the afternoon slothfully. It seemed a shame to waste the sunshine so I sat out back with a magazine for a couple of hours. I have given up looking in despair at the front.
The young couple next door get married on Monday and yesterday a massive gazebo, with twinkling lights, was put up in their back garden, with a spa pool beneath it. I assume she is having a girlie pamper day before the big day. I am expecting much shrieking and hilarity with the Champers (or Prosecco) flowing!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. SO I hope today is a better day for you. TAFF did the heart blokey enjoy his cake? I hope the appointment went well. Take care all, be safe xx

I'm ready for the off - another morning of sitting watching young people writing (or typing). Yesterday was a glorious day, even into the late afternoon and evening. I got home at about 3.30p.m., no overlong session. My gardener turned up
, she did a great job on the grass jungle, cut back the climbing hydrangea and did some clearing of dead stuff. The garden is beginning to look so much better. I have to get in touch with the company about my lawnmower. That's for this afternoon.
There's still some wonky veg soup for today's lunch.@SO - those 'firsts' are always difficult, I hope that you could bring up some good memories.@Chrisca - happy new coffee machine!@Scarlet - lovely that you're helping your neighbour.@Little - well done on the early morning walk.@TA - perhaps your neighbours will invite you across, or at least send you a glass of something lovely.@taff and @nan - I hope that your tough times are soon sorted. It's been a whirlwind for you and your OHs.Right, must away. Take care everyone.11 -
Morning all
Its cold and gloomy here last night was so chilly that I decluttered myself off to bed at 8 and put the electric blanked on while I watched a film, they are promising some sun this afternoon which will be lovely if it happens.
Im going for my electrolysis this morning I am only having to go once every three months or so there are very few hairs left now at all but I might ask her to start on the bit between my eyebrows as there are a few there that need getting rid off.
We have to go and collect DD’s car from town as she had a night out last night and left the car there so we could do that when we walk the dogs and walk around the lake.
Little dog has her final teeth clean this afternoon and then next week she has her groom she is having a good pamper session ready for summer.
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and look in the freezer after this there are plenty of choices as the freezer seems to be bursting at the seems atm.
Taff how did the appointment go ?
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

Morning all, a dull start today, bit like yesterday but that got better. Dog walked & fed, now snoozing
The garden at the back looks much better now the flags and stone walls have been power washed, and a few plants are coming into flower, an azalea, always late as it is under the conifers on the banking, clematis on the fence between us and next door, their side flowers first as it gets the sun. We sat out for a bit reading in the afternoon.
Have to take a parcel of tv box and router/cables to a drop off shop down the road to return to V....n. Not as much clutter behind the tv now, and the new full fibre provider seems to be going well.Yesterday I got 2 sides of salmon off the market so I divided them up and we had some last night, I saved an extra bit for my lunch today, then got a bit of veg, and a chat with the stall owner who will still deliver if I need a box. Caught a different bus home as I didn't want to wait nearly an hour.It just means walking a bit further & it's past the park so it was nice & I chatted to a couple of the neighbours further up from us.Hope the appointments went ok, no news on your hip op Suffolk Sue?Hugs S-OBye for now, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
