HRP

I have completed forms and I have rec'd a letter from HMRC to confirm that I am entitled to HRP. I am trying to find out what happens next. I spoke to HMRC, they told me to contact State Pension Centre. I called but you cant speak to anyone. Has anyone had a similar experience and could advise how I find out?

they told me to contact State Pension Centre.
    They do not exist.
Have you reached state pension age already ?
If yes you need to contact the Pension Service who will check your record.
If no the Future Pension Centre
What year did you  / will you reach pension age ?
Have you checked your NI record in your on line tax account to see if it has been updated ?

  • I'm doing this on behalf of a family member who is well past pension age. It was the HRP people at HMRC who told me to contact the State Pension Centre, they even gave me a number which is a recorded msg from DWP referring callers to the web site then cutting off. Thank you for the advice I will check
