Day one -
Day after my dreaded phone call with SC to admit my faults at having taken on new debt whilst in a current DMP with them - admitting I messed up due to my uncontrollable spending habit & cost of living caused by my Mental health - depression/anxiety/ADHD. Determined more than ever to take responsibility after finding this forum and starting my own diary.
Currently off sick from work due to surgery. Hopefully back 23/05.
Wanting to be a good role model to my children and a better wife. (To be honest it’s only the money/MH that lets me down) my kids have a nice stable life otherwise.
As of now total debt = £12,332

Good luck and well done for taking the first steps. I was in an almost identical situation to you at the start of my DMP, with nearly the same amount of debt. Monzo is really good for budgeting with the pots and virtual cards, keeps everything separate.
you are already a good role model , sometimes life knocks us down it happens to the best of us , all that matters is you’re picking your self up, dusting yourself off and making a change !! You will get there in no time
all the best

Sorted out my Gas & Electric today, I had a £500+ debt with them but to pay this off and including my usage I am paying £151 a month
Tomorrow I need to speak with HMRC over a £1,115 underpaid tax pay back 🙄 from the year before last
Also need to contact sky as this months installment is overdue by 2 days but I can afford to pay them next Tuesday0
