Easy way to check pension forecast and topping up.

I spent a couple of frustrating hours on the HMRC website,the the Government Gateway pages,trying to find out my predicted pension and whether I should top up.I was getting nowhere and eventually phoned  the DWP.A lovely advisor described the site as rubbish,so bad even the DWP themselves find it unusable.She gave me the number of the Future Pension Centre,part of the DWP.I rang them up and they answered instantly,not the frustrating 20 minutes of press 2 etc with HMRC.Having given them my NI number and answered a couple of basic security questions such as DOB and address,the call took less than two minutes.I phoned them at 1750-first post next morning I received full details and more regarding everything I wanted to know.Don't mess around with Government Gateway,call the Future Pension Centre on 08007310175

Glad the level of service is improving.  But everything you need to know can be worked out from the information shown on your pension forecast and NI record on the GG.
