Mortgage shortfall

As above thread can anyone advise me the 12 years statue barred starts I was 3 months in arrears and handed keys back in May 2012 I have found out house was sold in December 2012 any advice would be great

First question is whether there was a shortfall.

They are saying there's a 13 thousand shortfall but this is the first I have heard about it after nearly 12 years
