Senior Railcards

Options
I have just booked a trip to York from Edinburgh with Trainline, however two passengers have senior cards but when I tried to add second one, the message said only one could be used.  Thoughts please, thanks

Try a different website, preferably one that doesn't charge a booking fee. I always use GWR.

Do both tickets indicate the discount has been applied? If so, no problem.

Different sites handle railcards in varying ways.

Some websites only allow one railcard to be used - and it is assumed the same railcard applies to all passengers.  I always check that the expected discount has been applied to the ticket cost.
I tend to buy tickets on trainsplit.com (where you save through split-ticketting) or on the Uber app (where you get 10% back in Uber credit).

I just tried GWR for tickets and it quoted £288 for my trip, the same tickets through Trainline are £111.

Are they exactly the same tickets? Route, ticket type, booked train? Date, time?

On the GWR App I can find a ticket for £110.90 from Edinburgh to York, with 2 Senior Railcard holders

Leaving Edinburgh at 09:30 arriving York 11:54

    Returning the following day

Leaving York at 09:35 arriving Edinburgh 12:14

They won't be the same tickets. Check the ticket type.

I generally book through the website of the train operator I'll be using, never Trainline.
