So how can  a performance fee of 0.10 % of around £80,000 come to £420 ?
Its based on the performance between a period relative to the amount subject to the performance fee.

How far should I take this something not right.

Sounds like you were thrown under the bus by a retiring IFA. The retiring IFA would have pocketed ?£60k when they sold you. It looks like you have had to sort yourself out. It's awful that the regulators haven't stopped this scam. It's been going on for years causing so much suffering. It just shows how IFAs behave. Their needs are always put before yours.
