Not least as if you are spending £650 per month on food, you both need to start tackling that now.
No haircuts or holidays? You never even go to relatives for an overnight? Or does your missus book it and pay? Once there do you ever get your card out to pay for an icecream, a latte, a beer or a meal?
You'd benefit by going through the last 6 months purchases, allocating them all to categories and indicating whose spent what. Because you both need a handle on what you are both spending. Otherwise you both think that little purchase is OK because you don't fully know the story.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
