Daft question but I stay next to a motorway which all the different law breaking cars drove past day in day out and would have thought twice about buying a house there if I knew my children were at higher risk of poor health outcomes due to the emissions cheating devices the manufactures had utilized, as such I would have though I would be entitled compensation?
Is there anyone conducting a claim based on this premise?

Can you prove you or your kids have suffered health wise?

The harmful effects of diesel particulate emissions have been known about for more than 50 years.
When your children are adults they might claim against you for forcing them to live next to a motorway during their formative years.
How much do you think they should claim from you?0 -
What law are these cars breaking?0

Cars don't break laws but their drivers sometimes do!
A person using (or causing or permitting to be used) a vehicle on the public road, which does not comply with the emissions standards it was designed to meet, is committing an offence.
There are a lot of potential offences if you are stopped while driving a vehicle which is non-compliant.. The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations (Regulations 61(7) and 61A(3)) and the Road Traffic Act 1988 (Sections 42 and Section 75) would be good for starters.
Drivers can't be booked for driving a vehicle that they have been told is compliant but it's not because the manufacturer found a way to cheat the tests.0
