I have a loft and cupboards rammed with stuff I dont need, want or use.
Im going to declutter and donate and sell some items. Any money I make I will track here and I will save it up for a family treat.
I have peeked into the cupboards and the loft, and it made my teeth itch.
First, I need to do an initial sort. Bedroom cupboard, im coming for you!

Decluttering 1. A Mobile phone.
I tried to declutter some rubbish but then recalled an article about using toilet roll tubes to plant in so I now have a stash of toilet roll tubes. This probably counts as "cluttering"5 -

I say I am going for the bedroom cupboard, but Im currently operating a "mindful" model given that I am working and tonight is the football. So if i see a thing, I deal with it. Thursday night, after I have washed up, is when the cupboard shall be tackled. I am quite scared of opening the door.6

I like the idea of preparations rather than cluttering. I will use that in my "conversations" with himself about the various "piles of stuff" which are appearing during my clutterfest.
Bathroom drawers were attacked yesterday they are now much more light. I will do further work there as I want to be at a point where Im storing stuff I will use, not hanging onto stuff I wont.
Himself is concerned I will overfill the bin. I have now got bags of stuff for recycling and general waste hanging about and if hes not suited he can nip to the tip.3 -
Love the “nip to the tip”!Dealing with the DH should be Chapter one of the decluttering manual.4

Indeed. This, forum I suppose is in lieu of any government department dealing with onerous spousal interactions when faced with a determined partner who is flinging items around on a daily basis.
My son chipped in with "is it hormones?" last night and given hes only 14 I think hes been fast tracked by his father.6
