GDPR / Data Protection question

Hi All - is my employer allowed to have a sales leaderboard that is distributed to the whole company which has a list of the entire sales force along with how they are performing against their individual targets? (Shown as percentage vs target)
Wouldn’t this have some potential data protection issues?
Thanks

What does their employee Privacy Notice state?
It could be allowable as long as the notice state so. What is your concern?3 -
is it the names or the performance you have an issue with or both?0

How would this impact on your personal information? I assume that people know employees names; and performance information is commonly shared to drive competition in sales environments. Whether or not that is a good thing to do is quite different from whether it is an illegal thing to do. Since it is set as a percentage figure, it simply shows how well someone is doing against their target, not what their personal target is, so everyone is being treated in the same way.0

What sort of data protection issues do you think it might create - and do you have any particular reason to believe these are going to become 'real' issues?[Deleted User] said:Hi All - is my employer allowed to have a sales leaderboard that is distributed to the whole company which has a list of the entire sales force along with how they are performing against their individual targets? ThanksGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
I suspect that the issue is less around data protection and more about the "competitive" element in that it shows who is performing poorly against their targets. I doubt anyone smashing their targets will be worried about it saying that! There are undoubtedly better ways to motivate people - or at least kinder ways to motivate people. It is a very stark method of saying who will be leaving the company soon if they don't buck up...Marcon said:
