Please can anyone help me as im unsure how to move forward with this but in 2007 i had a bad divorce and i can't be sure if i had a ccj on a credit card but link financial bought it in 2008 ive never acknowledged it or paid towards it as I've never been in a position to, i understand that if there was a ccj it doesn't become statue barred but not sure if it is enforceable after all these years, they sent a letter to say that they are going to send resolvecall round to get me back in touch with them please can someone help me with this please

There appears to be an increase in collection activity for statute barred, or otherwise unenforceable old debts this last few weeks, clearing the decks for new business perhaps.
Basically anyone receiving letters like this should respond with the "Provit letter" available from the sticky thread on this board.
A debt will be statute barred if not paid, or acknowledged in writing for any period of 6 years or more, even with a CCJ attached, they are valid for the same period of time, always ask for proof of the debt to then ascertain your position.
