Looking for finance company Sun Securities Poole Dorset

Hi, can anyone help please?
I am trying to find Sun Securities, a finance company operating in the Bournemouth/Poole area around 10 or more years ago.
They are not on Companies House web site that anyone can find.
I am trying to buy a probate property but it seems there is a charge against it. I have been told that Sun Securities financed a loan to the deceased owner who paid it back (probate seller has proof) but Land Registry did not remove the charge. SS seems to have gone out of business and no-one can find any evidence they ever existed.
The sellers solicitor has sent relevant paperwork to the Treasury but I'm not hopeful of a quick result.
Does anyone on this forum know how we can get info re Sun Securities? Or, a long shot.... have you heard of them? Do you remember them? Can you give any info?

Sorry can't help you with the company - never heard of them BUT going forward if the estate have proof that the debt was repaid can they not get an insurance policy to indemnify you (as a purchaser) in case they suddenly appear and claim the charge is valid?1

retiredbanker1 Hi Thank you! I believe this was raised with the mortgage lender but they weren't interested, however, I will check and pursue.

Having worked in the finance industry in this vicinity for quite a while I know that there have been a lot of big finance companies (JPMorgan, Amex, Barclays, LV to name a few) and every single little office in between seems to have a parade of little finance companies coming and going. So many employees of the big firms think "I can do this better by myself" and set something up and discover it's not as easy as they thought and then shut down again.
Not that it specifically helps you but unless someone who was actually associated with it sees this thread I doubt anyone will pop out of the woodwork.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. You just need to send that proof to the land registry, and they should update the record and remove the charge.
Unsure why the Treasury would be involved in this?

Depending on how far back it was it may not have needed to be registered as a lender and there is no database of trading styles so the entity name may be totally different to the name on the header of paperwork1 -

The legal stumbling block is that the OP has no way of obtaining title to the property until this charge is removed - indeed the estate will never be able to sell to anyone until this matter is settled.1
