    New Year, New Focus

I don't really like resolutions, as they're so easy to break (e.g. exercise twice every week - miss a week, and I've failed!). So, I'm just doing areas of "focus" this year ... e.g. "Health" could be any combo of nutrition / exercise / vitamins / sports that I want. Maybe that sounds mad but I feel more motivated by it, so - whatever works! lol

    Main Focus - Money
~ Pay off debts in 2008 (don't know how I can do it yet but am determined to!)
~ Take packed lunches to work (De-Motivator says this costs me £1,040 per year at the moment, argh!!)
    Secondary Focus - Health
~ Going walking (building up to running) with a friend, starting 13/01/08 - in the local park, of course, no gym memberships here!
~ Menu Plan for more nutritionally balanced meals, not just "ready meals" anymore!
Secondary Focus - Mind / Learning
~ Learn French (get my learning CDs onto the iPod)
~ Learn more about starting my own business
    ~ Pass my driving test

Some of those are more DFW related than others aren't they lol !!

This is a good way of phrasing it - I see what you mean about setting ourseves up for a failure! So I am going to borrow your idea and nominate areas to focus on as well:

    1. Health focus - improving diet, exercise and loose weight
    2. House and garden focus - finish decorating, sort out new allotment beds
    3. Money focus - have some rainy day savings and overpay on mortgage

That should keep me going for the year:rotfl:
