Hello everyone :)

I've had a couple of years of big expenses, some expected and some not. Our house desperately needed new windows and then earlier this year mine and my husbands cars needed work doing unexpectedly,  I actually had to replace my car in the end. We have a holiday booked for summer which was booked a long time ago that I had hoped would be paid off by now but I've got two very large payments to make in the next two months. Long story short, I feel like my finances have run away with me. All payments are being made, but I'd really like to get savings back up :)

I'm finding , probably like everyone, that my money is just not going as far as it used to, and I've lost all sense on what is and isn't good value. 😕

I am going to use this thread to keep myself accountable, post any spending, and keep track of my NSD, and I'm hoping that in 12 months' time, I'll be in a more comfortable position.

Toodle-oo for now, L x

You could post a SOA if you can stand being shot down for frivolous spending as well as chunks of advice. Good for you that you can rein in your spending before or iinstead of creating a debt mountain that might be hard to shift.

Thanks 😊 I don't have a debt Mountain but certainly I do need to tighten my belt to stop it getting out of hand. What is an SOA? X
  • @Laurenh1 a SOA is a statement of affairs, all incomings and outgoings. They can be quite helpful in 1- showing you just where all your money has gone. 2- others can give you another angle sometimes. Good luck!
