Tm legal chasing very old debt

I have been receiving letters from them about a very old debt from the lending stream. They have said an ccj has been issued for this debt and now they are arranging for someone to visit where I live. I was ignoring them as I know this debt is way over six years old(more like 9/10) and there is nothing on my credit report to do with them anymore. I know it is also over six years since I have made any payment in relation to this. It has been a few weeks since they said a ccj has been allegedly given and I have received nothing from a court. What should I do going forward? The worry for me is someone turning up at my property.

Why are you ignoring it for a debt it seems you owe?

Have they given you any details about the alleged ccj?

    You want

    Issuing court
    Claim referene
    Date of judgement

If this does not exist, you can send the statute barred letter. They are out of time

If it is more than 6 years old you can remind them that this can only be enforced by specific order of the court, i.e. They are out of time

If it if less than 6 years old you may want to consider setaside

If they are sending someone around ask them to post the evidence through your letterbox

Is there any sign of a CCJ on your credit records? You need to check all three, for free.

If not, it will be over 6 years old.

If there was a judgement it may have passed the 6 year mark and dropped off file already, or it may just be DCA bluster, either way, fatbelly lists your choices, and what you should do next.

Doorstep collection agents are powerless to do anything except ask you to pay, they are not bailiffs, and possess no power whatsoever, if anyone should call, you can ignore them, ask them to leave, or have a little fun with them, get your phone out, and put them on YouTube.

Nothing gets rid of them quicker than being made famous, best weapon in your arsenal.

These companies buy up old payday loan debts with iffy credentials, and try to coax you to pay them, probably bought the debt for pennies.
