GMPE Past Transfers - GMP equalisation claim form

Dated January 9 2024, I received a letter referring to my transferred out benefits on 21 May 2007.
'Mercer' identified an underpayment in relation to the transfer value being undervalued as it did not take account of GMP equalisation.
I duly completed the claim form on January 12 2024. The amount is relatively small.
'Mercer' acknowledged receipt of claim form on January 19.
I have now written to 'Mercer' enquiring about the outstanding amount.
I note on several threads that 'Mercer' are not particularly quick!
Anything I can do to hasten the process?

Given the majority of Schemes havent even approached this stage of GMP work, and given the large scale of work it requirs, it wouldnt surprise me if it took a while. Bad form to not give some idea of timescales on correspondance however.
Have you called and asked?0 -
On further scrutiny of letter, I note that timescale is 6 months!
I did email them today as I hadn't heard from them in last 13 weeks. I prefer to be politely proactive rather than patient!

As an update, Mercer have responded and I can expect payment by the end of the month.2

My letter from the Aptia GMPE Historic Transfers Team regarding the equalisation of the GMP element of my bought out Mercer pension was dated 19 March 2025. I emailed the completed form to them on 22 March and received an acknowledgement by return. Since then I have heard nothing further. Their letter did say it could take six months,0 -

It's no surprise you've 'heard nothing further' if you sent the form at the end of March. Six months from then is the end of September (and you know the form has been received, because you've had confirmation).

What other people have or haven't had isn't likely to be relevant to you, even if it's the same scheme - and there's no indication that's the case.

Since @Baldeagle095 received confirmation they'd get their payment shortly after emailing Mercer, I was curious to know if they did, and whether it could be worthwhile my chasing Aptia. Turns out that won't be necessary, since the money was paid into my current account two days ago with no further intervention by me. No notification from Aptia that the payment was being / had been made received, either by email or through the post.0
