LTA protection

This thread is not about whether a future Government might or might not reintroduce the LTA as that is discussed elsewhere.
What I am interested in is opinions on whether some form of LTA protection would likely be introduced IF a future government reintroduced the LTA so that the reintroduction is not punitive on those who changed their level of contributuon in light of the abolishment of the LTA.
Just looking for opinions. Do people think protections would be likely / unlikely / something that ethically the Government would need to provide for ? (or does ethics not come into it !)

Reference LTA reductions over the years, the various governments always allowed various protections.
I think some of these protections could only be secured if no more pension inputs was the case, so looks like timming and luck.
There is indeed lots of comments on these threads about the LTA and I've posted my fair share of them.
I guess if the LTA is reinstated or similar introduced, they will do similar protections as previously, but unfortunately I do not trust any government on sensible pension planning so I'm just activating my DB pension and stopped paid employment earlier than I was thinking.
The link below is of interest maybe.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/losing-your-lifetime-allowance-protection#protected-allowancesOK thanks for the comments.I too "do not trust any government on sensible pension planning"....but in my case, while I seemingly have sufficient DC assets (under current rules) I don't have any DB for core income...and it is precisely that lack of trust that means I keep working for a bit more just in case a future Government pilfers my DC.
