Morning all, a rather slow start here today.

Made it downstairs and got a quick wash on. I had hoped to get it on the line, that was before I spied a band of rain slowly moving over the sea towards me. The ground is already saturated. Mind you, my SIL in QLD told me that they've had the wettest summer ever. When the family were across for Easter it rained every day, not for long but hard.Today is the Farmer's market in town, I don't need anything though may go for a mooch anyway. I hope that everyone has a good day, whether walking, shopping, gardening, reading or just plain slothing.11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. The forecast of a heatwave today doesn't seem to apply to us. It's miserable, but not raining, and it feels a bit chilly too. Enjoy the sun all of you getting it!
I think I might fit into the slothful category GERS. After yesterday's sun I was tempted outside to address the weed problem and promised myself I would carry on today. Now it doesn't seem such a good idea unless it warms up a bit.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning All
No particular weather this morning but it's grey so the rain isn't far away.
I hardly did anything yesterday apart from some financial stuff, a year long savings account had matured so I moved it but not sure what to do with it now. I thought I had been paying too much tax on my salary and phoned HMRC about a month ago and got a rather substantial tax rebate cheque yesterday. Seems they thought I was still getting bereavement benefit which stopped 12 years ago! Sadly they can only refund the last 5 years worth - wonder if that would work if I owed them money?
I'm going into Glasgow today for a mooch about once I'm sorted, I'll go on the train as parking is too expensive now.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX11 -

Good morning all
Sunny here this morning. Thought I might try and continue the good work the gardener started. Two hours and he achieved so much.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -
Morning everyone
Very slow start for me today - I'm very achy and tired this morning, even though I slept well.
Really enjoyed the film I saw yesterday afternoon The Iron Claw, though it was very sad. When I came home I researched the family it was based on the Von Erich family, I hadn't realised it was based on a true story.
It took me longer to get home than planned, I was sat on quite a full bus when the driver announced his brakes weren't working so we had to get off and wait for the next one. Poor man said it was his first day! one man had such a go at him, it was hardly his fault!
This morning I'm going to get some tidying done, then I'm planning on reading my book until little one arrives about 3pm for her sleepover. It's sunny so I've got my bedding in washing and might get some tidying done in the garden with little one later, though the forecast says it's to get very windy.
Silver Oldie - I'm pleased to hear your gardener made a good start. For the last couple of years, I've paid a local firm to cut my grass and it's such a help, it used to take me ages.
Hope everyone enjoys their day today x9 -
Morning allMild this morning and sun keeps making small appearances. I made a chocolate sponge yesterday and today made the peanut butter icing a la Nigella. Icing takes a while but it was so worth it!A bit more gardening today now I won't get blown away and a lazy afternoon with my bookHave a good day all and take care x9

Morning everyone I don’t know what happened to yesterday the day just ran away with me we have been trying to do some work outside but that wind is getting through to our bones and we are still dodging heavy showers it’s grey today with spits and spots so just waiting for it to start it’s may in a couple of weeks for goodness sake . Silver Oldie pleased you got a gardener it will be nice if you can just get out and do a little bit in my old house we had a garden the size of a football field and greenhouse and veg beds I couldn’t manage it now we sold the house to a young couple and they have let it go to wreck and ruin my old neighbours keep catching me and telling me but it’s not my worry now I only have a small garden now and a few pots well a lot of pots alright to many pots but it’s looking lovely through the window anyway. Dog has been walked I popped out and got some bread and hopefully I have got someone calling at lunchtime fingers crossed to see about putting me a new bathroom in I’ve seen his work he’s very good and comes highly recommended but these people just seem to never turn up I’m not holding my breath . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day whatever you are doing8
