Yesterday was an unexpectedly decent day. No rain, little wind and, at times, sunny. I hung my swimming towels out on the line for a short time, first time this year. The pool session was enjoyable, not too many there and some hard work. I came straight home afterwards (no shopping), had some lunch and a wee closed-eye time. A delivery interrupted that, just as well too. I was delighted thst my newly acquired bee catcher worked so easily, one large bee zoomed in, flew round the living room then headed straight for the window. Not only could I reach the bee but it was soon enclosed in the weird grabber end and let go outside. I have no gumption in disposing of flies but can't bear to see trapped bees.I bit a large bullet yesterday to order a new laptop, it's been on the cards for too long. I use a lovely little independent shop in Glasgow which gives great customer service. I'll go down for it on Tuesday so need to sort out stuff on my current one.Fingers crossed for another decent day, the grey clouds don't look too promising so far. Anyway, I hope that everyone has a good day.12

Morning allFeels a little warmer today but that blasted wind won't go away. Trying to pot up seeds with a gale blowing isn't a good idea! Not alot going on today. Some housework to do later after my hairdresser has been. We'll put the world to rights while she's cutting and colouring my hair.Hopefully the wind will die down later as I've been informed by DH that I haven't sown enough runner beans so will do a few more to, hopefully, get a good crop.Have a good day all and {{hugs}} to the poorlies xx10

Morning all, thanks Gers for the start off, glad the trap did it's job.
Now don't anyone faint because I'm posting early 😂 but we're having our new mattress delivered early this morning so I'm up, dressed and breakfasted. We've already stripped the bed and slipped the old mattress in a green bag ready for collection and now it's lying up against the bedroom wall. I can't take much credit for that but I did try to help, honest.
Today will be taken up by re-making the bed and if the weather holds putting some washing on and then out on the line. The washing basket is full and there's the bedding from this morning too, we're due a couple of dry days so my fingers are crossed, I hope we can do some of it at least. I shall be glad of the respite from all the rain anyway so long may it last.
Take care all

Morning all, didn't get on here at all yesterday. DS2 dropped DGD off just after 8 and then DGS mum brought him at 9 so it was a very hectic day
It was heartwarming to see the 2 of them give each other a hug, with DGS being away last week they hadn't actually seen each other for about 10 days, although DS does his best to make sure they do see each other. We had a trip to town on the bus first to get a few bits for DGD,& lunch in their favourite cafe.Once home they messed about with a ball for a bit, then we went to the park but had to hurry back as DS was on his way to collect them. The house is a bit messy now but will have to stay that way this morning as I'm off to lunch with an old neighbour. We said we'd keep in better touch, especially as she's been retired for a year now, and only seen her once.
I need to remember to get something out for tea, although after yesterdays Turkish poached eggs at lunch I only had 2 cheese and crackers later on.I did a quick read through earlier but have forgotten most of it, sorry. I do remember Gers is after a new lappie! Mine seems to have a problem with the sound, sometimes it fails and just now there is an intermittent beeping noise fom 1 side which is very distracting. It felt quite warm when out with the pooch , I don't think we're forecast rain today but who knows. We have had a problem with the heating again, DH got a new part and fitted that yesterday, seems to be ok now.Right, better get busy, take care all, especially Coxy and Sis on their travels. x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning All
After a dry and breezy day yesterday it's back to rain - what a miserable Easter break this has been. I washed all the cushion covers and throws from the living room yesterday along with the bath mats. All dry and put back.
Good day with the little one, the rock painting at the library was really good - some to take home and some for the fairy path at the garden behind the library. Her Mummy picked her up from there to take her to dancing (more a social event for her than enjoying the dancing!).
The house is all tidy from her craft stuff and toys, will clean the bathrooms later.
Glad your bee trap is useful Gers, I used to have a spider trap but I'm not sure what happened to it.
Hope your walk goes well today Coxy.
You've been busy already Nanny, take it easy.
Not much happening today, may have a lazy day with a book. Take care. XX

Morning everyone
Nice bright morning here but still windy. Yesterday was weirdly mild, though windy. I painted some of my big wooden planters in the afternoon, they were looking very hard up. This morning my hands are quite sore and I feel shattered...it's very annoying.
Also planted some sweet pea seeds in little plastic propagator trays on my kitchen window sill - they're my favourite flowers.
I'll go down to mam and dads this morning to do his banking and then I'm stewarding at our local cinema for a film called The Iron Claw - at the minute there's only one ticket sold so hopefully there will be some walk-ins.
Better get on - hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all
Its a beautiful day with lots of sun 🌞 it’s so nice not to look out and see rain ! It’s meant to be like this for the next week so let’s hope so.
I am going to take the dogs out this morning then I am going to have my nails done and then back for a bit of lunch and then out again to have little dogs teeth done only another three sessions after this one her teeth are looking so much better already.
Dinner tonight will be sausage in a bun with corn on the cob if I can get some if not I will do a few chips with it, washing is all up to date until tomorrow when I’m sure the basket will be full again.
Coxy well done on your walk let’s hope you get some good weather xxx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Morning all! I reckon it might be a nice day today. The sun will burn off the haze before long then I will enjoy my favourite passtime of garden potter. A local place is selling off their spent compost very cheaply so I'm off there this morning to get some for the front garden as mulch and for a new raised bed I'm planning. OH will be glad it's the weekend too, thier shift has dropped dramatically in numbers, not that there were many anyway but going from four to two has made it super difficult for him. we're off to a local twice yearly quiz tomorrow night too, I really enjoy it, gives us a chance to catch up with everyone we haven't seen since the last one. And the cats need their boosters so I have to book them in somewhere, hopefully closer than the last one. I know I'm not killing them but the noises coming from the basket each time make me feel so guilty. Mind you, the Little Princess loves a car ride, it's Fatty who hates it.Coxy, very well done to you and your walking companions, especially in this changeable weather! Nanny, nice to see you, [I didn't faint but I wanted to?
] happy new bed day! How are your new neighbours? Gers, glad your bee catcher is doing the trick..Chris, is it runner bean time already? uh oh...dp1, enjoy the film! Ruby, glad her teeth are better. Rosy, enjoy your catch up lunch! snoozer, happy new oven!
Florence, well that makes a change, enjoy a bit of nothing doing for a change then? Izzy, hope it's not raining for you today..Allie how did the taste phone call go? TA, the going rate for a gardener is around 15 to 25 an hour so if they're asking more than that, laugh in their faces
Take care all, watch out for intermittent sunshine!

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I'm a latecomer this morning, I got sidetracked as you do! It's dull but fine here and no rain forecast! No doubt it will be back tomorrow!
I'm just having a mid/late morning break, I've made a cup of lemon, ginger and burdock root tea for a change but I don't think I like it. It's a bit of an odd taste. My favourite is liquorice tea but I try to ration myself on that since I got told it won't be doing my bp much good!
I'm now mid Friday Tidy but I'm in messing about mode so it's not progressing very fast. Must try harder after my break.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. COXY well done, especially battling through wind and rain at the same time as covering the miles. I envy you, but not in the rain! I used to love walking before my legs decided they didn't. Take care all, stay safe xx
