Natwest Mortgage Timeline - FTB Query

Hi all, long time lurker here making my first post.

I'm a first time buyer (just me purchasing) and have had an offer accepted on a house, and have applied for a mortgage with Natwest directly (no broker).

I have an AIP which covers the amount I need and I am putting down a 5% deposit.

I just have some questions on the timeline. I've looked on the Intermediaries site and scoured forum posts for people in similar situations but just a little confused on mine.

Thurs 28/03 - application submitted

- Easter weekend -

Weds 03/04 - request for passport and to clarify a monthly payment to a storage unit. Status on the tracker also showed that a valuation had been instructed.

Fri 05/04 - tracker updated to show extra info/ID received

Mon 08/04 - tracker updated to say valuation report received

Tues 09/04 - text message received giving valuation amount (same as what I am paying for the property)
- Status on the tracker updated to "assessment of application"

So, I'm just wondering how long it will take now for an offer. The valuation looks to have been assessed and confirmed on Tuesday, 2 working days from there would make it this morning, but there's no change on the tracker.

My solicitors have asked me for £300 up front fee to get things started but I'm hesitant to pay this before I get my offer confirmed with Natwest, and I'm worried that I'll be rejected (unsure if this is a valid worry - but I tend to overthink and spiral...) I also didn't declare my car insurance on my application as it said to not include transport costs, so I assumed car insurance (monthly payments) would be under this? But now I worry that I should have listed it and I've missed something crucial.

Sorry if my question/post is silly, I'm trying to learn about this whole process as I go along and appreciate your time for reading it.
