Ocado - Slot Prices

I understand that as you get nearer to a date, and the slots fill up the price goes up - but once you get to a few hours before the cutoff - do prices go down?

I was looking at a slot tomorrow but it's £7 - not worth it - but if I waited until say 4pm this afternoon is there any likelihood it may go down - in my areas all slots seem available.

Slots for me for tomorrow are £3.99 later on in the afternoon, I’ve never known them go down in price to be honest.

Fri and Sat slots are always the most expensive

I can generally book a slot for Saturday after 7pm for £1:99 but Fridays are usually busy and full price.

They do go down if you wait until the last few hours before order cut-off, although in many cases the slots will then be sold out.

As an example, in my area Friday evening 7-8pm is usually charged at £3.99.  I've paid £0.99 for that slot at 9am on Friday morning, and had to finalise the order before 10am.

If I have an Ocado order it's always mid afternoon on a Friday and I pay £4 every time.
