If you're a Subway Rewards member, you have until 5pm on Tuesday 14 May to spend any points you've built up – or lose them entirely. After this, Subway will switch to a new app-only loyalty scheme and any remaining points you have WON'T be moved over.

  • Just been to my local subway to use up the near 1500 points I have before tomorrow’s deadline. Told the staff I had some points to spend and was told the system had been down all day, so I couldn’t use any points. They could however still accept card or cash payments. Anyone else having issues?

    Yep, I've had that at various stores before. I've just been to my local one today to try to use up my 1440 points, thankfully their till was working, but then they told me I can only use my points for one item... per 24 hours! I can't find this mentioned anywhere, but they wouldn't budge. They also said my points wouldn't actually expire today, they're just changing to a new app and they'll still be there in the new one, but I'm sure that's completely wrong.

    So I've ended up getting a footlong sub which I didn't really want (I wanted to try two different wraps, but would only have been allowed one, which would only have used 500 points) and the rest of my points (which I wanted to use for a couple of side things) have gone to waste! 😕
