Hi, I have just downloaded Check my file which shows all the credit reference agencies so I could make a note of all my creditors details before I tackle my debts. I have a loan with AA  and it isnt showing anywhere on my any of my credit reports. Does this mean they never done a credit check when I applied? Thanks for any advice in advance.

That does sound unusual.  It's true that not all lenders report to all 3 CRAs, but it would be most unusual for a loan to not be reported to at least one of them.

A quick Google suggests that AA loans are actually provided by Bank of Ireland - is the loan showing on your report as Bank of Ireland rather than AA?

No, it means that they have not reported the loan, a search is different to reporting. It is unusual that it does not show though, are you sure it is not on there, it may appear as Bank of Ireland. Have you changed address over the last few years and are you on the electoral role?

Hi, thank you both for replying. I should have said that AA comes under Bank of Ireland. No, its not on any of my reports by any of the credit reference agencies. I have not changed address since taking out the loan 2 years ago and i am on the electoral register.
