Hi guys
I worked for the Property Services Agency (PSA) 1989-1999. I'm trying to find who now holds our pension. After privatisation I beleive Corillion took over. They are no longer in existance I've tried pension tracer, Civil Service pension, Pension protection fund all with no luck and not recognising my NI number. Moved house many times since and now have no idea who holds my pension. Any ideas or X workers of the PSA know?

It is very likely that the Pension Scheme in question was contracted out of SERPS.0 -
Have you tried

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
It is likely that the PSA was contracted out - were you a member of any contracted out scheme post 1999?
Have you obtained a state pension forecast?

Is a COPE shown?I worked for the Property Services Agency (PSA) 1989-1999.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Property_Services_AgencyThen on 1 April 1990 the PSA was split into two separate organisations:
- Property Holdings, which remained within government and managed the portfolio of civil estates.
- PSA Services, which operated as a commercial entity bidding for new building work from public sector organisations; equally, PSA Services was free to seek work in markets outside the public sector.
The progress towards full commercialisation was completed in 1992, when PSA Services was itself further split into three organisations:
- PSA Projects (the branch which dealt with new building projects), which was offered for sale to the private sector, and purchased by Tarmac in 1992. (Although nominally a sale, the transaction was eventually estimated by the National Audit Office to have cost the government £81.3 million).[8][9] From October 1993 it traded as TBV Consult, later being renamed TPS Consult in 1997,[10] and becoming part of Carillion in a demerger in 1999.
- PSA Building Management (the branch which maintained the existing estate) was divided into five regional businesses to be sold individually.
- PSA International (which looked after the overseas diplomatic and military estates) which was closed down in 1993.
- The Crown Suppliers (formerly PSA Supplies) was subject to a separate but abortive privatisation in 1991. The bulk of the business was closed with the exception of its Liverpool Office which remained trading within the public sector as The Buying Agency (TBA).

Do you have any paperwork at all relating to your PSA pension?

I worked for the PSA from 1983 to 1994, it was definitely part of the main Civil Service pension scheme then. Unfortunately I transferred it into BT's scheme in 2001 so I doubt I've still got any paperwork but surely the Civil Service pension people can track it via your NI number.:beer::beer:0

I've contacted a chap who started the same day and finished the same day as me when we got wound up at the PSA. He sent me his last pension letter. It was from Interserve Trusties Ltd (Dec 2022) that took over our pensions when privatised. They said in the letter that they themselves were winding up and the pension was to be taken over by Aviva. I contacted Aviva, no record of my NI number/name/DOB. I can't contact Interserve as they are no more.
Thanks for all the above suggestions but none got me any further. Any further advise would be kind.0 -
Did you definitely opt to join the pension scheme?
Did you join, but then opt out and take a refund of your contributions within (usually) the first two years?
Did you transfer your benefits to your new pension scheme when you left?0
