Can anyone tell me what this means please? My understanding is that it tells me I can be moved to another part of the business and I have to accept?

Thanks,

You can refuse and make yourself unemployed. You could try to talk to a union rep but I think they may tell you the same.
Frankly most businesses (in my experience) tend to do this from time to time and occasionally will sneak in a little extra zinger about limiting business expenses or something that no one notices until much later.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Associated Company is capitalised and so should be a defined term elsewhere in the contract but presumably is any entity within the group.
The former part is relatively reasonable, they can ask you to do your job for another part of the group and you get your standard pay for doing so. The second part isn't 100% clear what they are hoping to achieve and it somewhat depends how the business is structured but generally companies can just move you around hence why we have the TUPE protections etc2 -

My late father was a Professional Engineer , he worked for a food processing company , which had both horizontal and vertical integration within the group of companies
there was a Holding company which employed some of the very senior managers and their supporting staff
there was the Poultry processing company
there was the farming company
there was the Vegetable processing company
there wasa transport company
the poultry processing company employed most if not all of the Project Engineers and Engineering managers, because they had most of the engineering , however if one of the other companies in the group was proposing to do a significant development , the Engineering Project Manager and any junior engineers required would be 'lent' from the Poultry processing company for the duration of the project , The Poutlry processing copmany also had a number of CAD technicians and Engineering Document/ Drawing librarians, again these would be lent as necessary1
