Tech Errors 'Leading' to Additional Costs....

One Line of Missing Text is costing a small fortune..
In my hurried purchase of 10 socket Extension Lead..
I could have checked if' The base of the tower is detachable'
Which it isn't and therefor doesn't fit into my nice Extension Lead Cover.
Any suggestions Mser's, costs are now going to be from 14.99.

Who did you buy it from? Can you return it?1

If it only cost £15 and the base is all that prevents it doing what you want, have a look in your toolbox for something to remove the offending parts of the base with with.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I'm basically in effect removing almost 3Meters of Extension Lead, I've four 1.8Meter Non Moulded type.

Amazon purchase though it's opened product I'm requesting Return via RM pick up -0 Cost.
Excellent Idea which means I'm £3 in credit once 17.99 is Refunded v 14.99 of Non Moulded.
+Returns Label gives me excuse to make use of Printer!

It's not a "tech error" if the purchaser hasn't read all the description or assumed something......
Having said that we all make mistakes like that from time to time all you can do is be honest with the retailer , return it and purchase one that is suitable for your needs. It helps if the retailer also sells one that is suitable for your needs .
Its not generally a good idea to butcher an electrical item as you could expose live wires by doing so.2
