Good morning all. It's bright though cold here, I'm happy for it to stay dry.

Morning All
It's bright and sunny here too Gers, makes such a difference.
I had a good day with the little one yesterday, we played here for a while then went to the library for an arty session. Same again today but to a different local library to make some animal pom poms. Great the library are still able to put these things on for children.
Chimney sweep came to do his stuff yesterday so that's another thing off my list of odd jobs. Little one was fascinated by the brushes going up the chimney and ran outside to have a look.
Such a shame Rob is poorly again Ruby, hope he's well soon.
You're not having a very restful time without the children Snoozer!
Glad you got out with your pal TA.
Off to the shower and to pick up the little one, hope you all have a good day. Take care. XX12 -
Good morning, it's sunny here as well, hope it lasts.
Camelot, my dad used to sweep chimneys as a source of extra income, I realise that now, but didn't as a child. When he swept our chimney he used to send me outside to see if the brushes had appeared. We all had coal fires then, children now wouldn't know what coal is.
I've got a routine hospital appointment this morning, then I want to tidy up a bit. We're going away in the caravan onSunday, down to N Yorks, so better get organised.
Hope everyone has a good day today, thinking of anyone who is poorly or sad.
Take care folks.

Back - I've put a white wash on and had two boiled eggs. This morning I'm going down to Glasgow for an overnight stay. I'm seeing Adam Kaye at the theatre, he's the doctor who wrote 'this is going to hurt', I'm sure he'll be interesting. This morning my mobile number was finally ported from BT to EE, it's only taken since 22 March, six phone calls, two wrong names and addresses and one efficient agent (now called guides). My nephews and families are now on the Gold Coast to take the children to the theme parks. The other day they all went to the zoo - got that song now swirling around my head - it's the Australia Zoo which Steve Irwin started. The English branch will be happy to get on the plane on Saturday for a 14 hour sleep to Dubai!I am reading along, just trying fight off an encroaching barking cough again, it just wants to hang on this winter even though it's not been as cold overall as last winter.11

Morning,
Woken up to blue skies and sunshine! Not supposed to last though, but nice while it’s here.
Got some men in this morning to demolish our very old, rotten shed, hoping that it’s not propping up the garden fencing.
Apart from this, it will be a quiet day of washing and drying and shredding years worth of my parent’s paperwork. Also, need to get back to menu planning and better management of the housekeeping money, will work on a plan today.
Hope you all have a nice day.

It was raining when I got up but stopped and sunny here - had typical April weather from day 1.
I will be phoning about my missing gates as soon as the shop opens.
Mr F has a trolley packed full of stuff for the charity shop.
I plan to carry on with crafting.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Good morning all
Thank you for the start Gers
Yesterday a lovely chap from the Fire Service came to check my smoke alarm. Don't know how we were registered. Think it was because my lovely DH wasn't mobile and if there had been a fire it would have flagged up. Seems they are okay to do annual checks for me.
Lovely and sunny, should do something in the garden. Haven't planted any seeds this year.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.11 -
Morning everyone it’s dry for now it’s not going to last we have big black clouds Gers enjoy tonight SO better safe than sorry my carbon monoxide alarm went off at the weekend it was only to tell us it was worn out I’ve got another one but it gives you a fright . Camelot library’s are brilliant places I would definitely be lost without ours enjoy your crafting. Peony I’m on a mission not to spend any money I think most of the big bills have come out now it’s just a never ending challenge to get the food budget down I’ve got plenty in the freezer but I have to stop been tempted by bargains. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that want them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Is there only me missing out on the blue sky and sun this morning?! It rained o/n and now stopped, but is due to return!
It's DD's birthday today - 51 eek! They are still at the caravan (plus a friend of DGD2) and the plan is to catch the little bus into Harrogate for the day and late lunch. But first they have to trek to the bus stop through fields, the wood and then cross the bridge over the river and up the hill to the bus stop!! Back in the day my Bob and I thought nothing of doing this walk but sadly my legs can no longer tackle it. If rain stops play they will resort to the car!
I am dithering over tripping into town as there are odd bits I need. This may be weather dependant as I don't fancy a soggy walk to the bus stop.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care one and all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6 -
Morning all, I didn't post yesterday as I lost just as I was pressing post, I think my sleeve brushed the touchpad on my laptop. I unexpectedly had DGS here in the morning, he was no bother, and his SDad collected him at lunchtime.DH and I are off into M/cr later this morning to meet my ex SIL and her DH, we've always stayed friends after the split from my DB. Hoping there isn't too much train disruption.I cooked a lamb joint last night, bought from the market, it was very nice, we don't often have it as it's a bit dear, but I think they had plenty left from Easter so it was cheaper, enough left to freeze too. I don't think we'll need much tea as it's a late lunch.Right better go and make myself presentable
have a good day all x
