Halifax Mortgage - recent late payment

Pleaseeee help!

My partner and I have had an offer accepted on a property at £475k, our broker got us a DIP yesterday however last night I checked my credit on transunion and a late payment is showing up for last month. I’ve checked my account and there is £2 outstanding. I’ve tried to pay it but I can’t online so will call today. My question is, will this jeopardise our chances of getting this mortgage?

We’re paying 15% deposit. My partners credit is squeeky clean, he has a car on finance with around £25k left, I have around £3.5k on credit cards. Our joint income is £130k.

Got myself in a real state about this, please help!

This is a question for your Broker who knows your case and the Lender chosen at this stage.

If your credit file is showing a missed payment for last month it could cause an issue at full application stage. How it can be dealt with depends on the Lender. You have a sensible explanation and I do not imagine it will be a barrier to lending at standard rates on the market, it may be a barrier for certain Lender's however.
