Mortgage help!

I have been with RBS in a fixed term for 5 years which came to an end last month.
3 weeks prior we were given an indictaive rate which for a 3 year fixed. We agreed on this and was informed that it was in hand. We hadn't heard anything back, so I sent a follow up email 18 days later..the next day the electronic forms were there to sign with an email, that's it arranged. Foolishly we signed in haste. The rate has increased and was only aware when the payment came out of our account!
I got in touch regarding this and this was the response...
"I have been advised that provided quotes are indicative rates only and they can fluctuate due to the current markets at this time.

They have advised that the rate we offered for your re-fix increased slightly from the initial quote"
Surly this should have been communicated before we received any documents to sign to state that our original quotation wasn't valid?
Please help!
I am aware we have made an error...a very expensive error of £90 per month , but surly RBS have failed?

The crux of the matter is whether the rate was clearly visible on the electronic forms that you signed.
You have said yourself that the offer 3 weeks before the end of your previous fix was indicative only so it was incumbent to check what appeared on the forms before you signed them.0
