Driving Instructor Training - Franchise

Hello
I'm currently in the process of researching franchise companies that offer training to become a driving instructor. Finding it a minefield so wondering if anyone can offer any advice on which are the best companies to train with and then go onto having a franchise with.  So far I'm considering Bill Plant, The AA, BSM, Drive.
Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Only thing I could suggest is watch out what promises they make you.

A colleague decided to go into driver training when he was made redundant and mentioned that he'd been told that he could make £600 a week.  My brain immediately started calculating what that meant.  Lessons at the time were about £30 for an hour so he'd have to fit in 20 lessons over 5 days a week (allowing for a weekend of some sort) so 4 lessons a day.  Add to that he'd need to get from lesson 1 to lesson 2 so 30 minutes? so that adds 2 hours to each day.  So by working 30 hours a week he would bring in £600 out of which he'd need to pay for the car, petrol, insurance, repairs, mot etc.  So his actual profit would be much less.  Good thing he had a great redundancy payout.

Agree with @Brie -- one around by us advertising "Earn up to 70k a year"

I figured you would have to be fully booked 8hrs a day, 7 days a week to get close to that

Also consider what promises they make the learners, and how they fulfil them. Local company says no-one needs a 3rd test, I don't remember the exact wording.

But what it means is that if your learner fails a 2nd test, you suggest they change driving school.

Local company obviously never had Maureen as a pupil!
